Funding for Your Program in 2021-2022
November 4, 2021

As a music educator, you have a unique opportunity to improve your program like never before! ESSER Funds are available for you to use.
Because of the COVID-19 crisis, aid has been provided via the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief, or ESSER, Fund.
There are a variety of ways that these funds can be used to benefit you and your students. Districts can decide to disperse the funds to meet their own specific needs.
There is considerable flexibility with how they can be used. It includes PPE and sanitation supplies, equipment that supports social distancing or remote learning, and improving the air quality in the building.
As it relates to your music room or stage, there’s a lot of gear that can qualify. Portable equipment like staging, risers, or shells can be spread out and moved around as needed. Some systems are more modular than others and can be reconfigured into different layouts as well. Please contact our experts to determine exactly what type of system you’re going to need.
There are a lot of ways to improve your school with ESSER Funds and the music and choral department shouldn’t be overlooked as it can add a whole new level of versatility.
Money from the CARES Act must be obligated by September 30, 2022. Money from the second and third rounds of funding need to be obligated by September 30, 2023.
