How Artists and Venues are Moving Forward
How Artists and Venues are Moving Forward
December 2, 2020
Throughout the country, artists and venues have been teaming up to find ways to make live shows a reality once again. There have been a lot of great ideas including live streams, drive-in concerts, and socially distanced concerts that we talked about in a post earlier this summer. Check it out here.
This post will focus on a couple of other things that artists and venues are doing so that they can continue moving forward and why versatility is the key in all of it.
Portable Stages
Whatever the event is, whether it’s a live stream, drive in concert, or something different, a portable stage is a must. Your venue may already have one. The flexibility will allow you to set up anywhere. It’s also something that you’ll be able to use for years and years to come as a venue. You can start small and add on to it, so it grows with your venue.
Some systems are better for certain things than others so check with a reputable manufacturer to make sure you get one that’ll work for you. If you already have a portable staging system, check with your manufacturer if you’re unsure of its full capabilities.
Individual Seating Platforms
We’re sure that you’ve seen different pictures of seating pods being used at outdoor venues to keep individual groups separate. While this may be a better piece of equipment to rent since it won’t be needed as we continue to move forward, it can also be accomplished with reconfigurable portable platforms. A reconfigurable platform can be used in a variety of ways including as portable stage, seating riser, seating platform, among others.
A good system should be able to be set up in different sizes, configurations, and at different heights. It’s something to consider if you’re ready to get serious about versatility.
Conclusion
As we keep moving forward in the events world, versatility is only going to get more important. Even beyond our current state, having versatility can open up many more opportunities for a venue. Before making a purchase decision, talk to a reputable manufacturer to make sure you get the right system that will be able to grow with you and your venue.
