How StageRight Helped Enhance Foundation Academy
How StageRight Helped Enhance Foundation Academy

Foundation Academy, a part of First Baptist Winter Garden, located in Winter Garden, Florida needed to build a portable stage extension for a Spring Musical that their Drama Department was putting on. The stage in their Cafetorium wasn’t designed with any backstage space and the musical needed more room.
Since they already had compatible support units, they needed the decks to match. A local production house that uses StageRight gear helped them determine the correct decks they needed for their supports. They ended up purchasing 4X8 Decks with Black PolyTrac on one side and Gray Carpet on the other. This worked flawlessly to create a 32’ wide extension across the front of the built-in stage.
The process from placing the order to receiving it was seamless. Here’s what Technical Director Scott Brazell had to say about it: “(Sales Representative) Rick Roe worked with me directly. He answered my questions and provided options, as well as some accessories. He was patient with our own approval process and once we got the green light, freight shipping made its way as fast as it could down to Florida. Delivery was simple and the products were exactly what we needed them to be.”
Being part of a school and a worship facility, the equipment has the opportunity to be used for a variety of applications and is versatile enough to do so. In addition to working as a stage extension, a drum riser can also be created using the decks and supports. In a facility like this that serves multiple purposes, this versatility is huge. It really enhances their capabilities. Venues of any size can benefit from this added flexibility and versatility. We’d like to thank the team at First Baptist Winter Garden and Foundation Academy for allowing us to play a small part in their success!
