Improving Sightlines at Your Events this Summer

outdoor stage

Summer is a time for being outdoors and enjoying the beautiful weather. During these months there are many events that happen outside. They range anywhere from small concerts in a park to large music festivals with multiple stages.

Regardless of the event, you want to ensure that your patrons are having a positive experience. One of the primary ways to accomplish that is to make sure they can see the stage clearly. To do this, there are three things you need to be looking at.

Space

The space or area you’re in is important. You need to consider things like terrain and elevation. If there’s a hill, you could incorporate that in your seating layout as is often done with large concerts or sporting events. Even if there’s not, you need to be aware of uneven terrain and have gear that can be used in an outdoor setting.

Seating

If there isn’t a hill that’s conveniently located, or even if there is and you want a more premiere seating option, tiered risers are the perfect solution. These can be customized to different sizes and heights so that they can meet the unique needs of your space. Many options are available with the configuration to accommodate the contours of the terrain or event needs. Seating risers from a reputable manufacturer will make for a much better experience compared to traditional bleachers.

Our other two points, your space and the stage, will determine what you need in your seating riser. Really, your solutions for all three depend on one another. For this reason, it’s important to talk to an expert so you can get the solution that’s going to work for you.

The purpose of the riser is to allow those sitting towards the back to see the stage as clearly as those in the front. This can be important in a small area or with a stage that’s lower to the ground.

Stage

The stage is obviously a vital component to any performance. The height of your stage will determine if seating risers are needed and what they need to be like. As we mentioned in the previous point, a stage that’s lower to the ground may require seating risers to allow patrons in the back to see while a taller stage might provide clear sightlines for all without the use of elevated seating.

Conclusion

In the midst of the summer months, as guests are enjoying events, they’ll be glad that considerations were made to optimize their sightlines.

There’s quite a bit that goes into making sure it’s right including your seating solution, stage, and space. Speak to our experts and we will help your determine exactly what you need to create the best experience possible for everyone involved.
