Springfield Township Middle School Maximizes Performance Space with Automated Telescopic Choral Risers

Springfield Township Middle School recently upgraded its performance space with a motorized telescopic standing choral riser system. The risers extend automatically from beneath the stage when needed and retract back into storage when performances are over, giving the school a flexible solution that makes the most of its available space.
The new telescopic risers provide additional standing space for choir performances, assemblies, and special events while remaining completely out of sight when not in use. Powered by a motor, the unit can be deployed and stored quickly, eliminating the need for manual setup and helping staff prepare the space for different activities throughout the school year.
Because the system stores beneath the stage, the auditorium remains open and uncluttered between events. The tiered layout also improves sightlines, allowing audience members to see performers more clearly during concerts and presentations.
This installation is a great example of how schools can add functionality to their performance spaces while maintaining flexibility for everyday use.
